Safe to Speak · Take action

Support European safeguards.

Pick your route. Every action uses a tool that exists today and asks for no personal details.

How participation works today. StudentSafe Europe has no petition, mailing list or sign-up form yet. Actions use public GitHub forms: anyone can read them and they stay in the project’s history. A free GitHub account is needed; a pseudonymous one is fine.

There is no private way to contact StudentSafe Europe. Never send anything you would not want published.

For individuals

Make the case heard.

  • Support the principles

Raise the three demands with your student union or representatives.

    Read the demands
  • Share the campaign

Copy this; it links to the demands, not to anyone’s story.

  • Contribute a public source

Know a law, statute or official complaint procedure? Public documents only.

    Suggest a source on GitHub
  • Follow developments

No newsletter: choose Watch → Custom on the repository.

For organisations

Stand behind the principles.

Student unions, ombuds offices, civil society, professional bodies and universities.

  • Register interest

Endorsements are not open yet; registering interest tells StudentSafe Europe who wants to be involved. It is not an endorsement, and no organisation is listed as a supporter.

    Register interest on GitHub
  • Collaborate on research

Legal or policy knowledge of a country helps research its national rules and universities.

    How research contributions work

For researchers

Make the evidence stronger.

Evidence, not accusations

This is not a place to report a person.

StudentSafe Europe studies published rules; it is not a court, police body, disciplinary authority or complaints service. It cannot investigate a case, and GitHub forms are public.

Welcome

  • Laws and regulations
  • University statutes and policies
  • Official complaint and appeal procedures
  • Other public institutional documents
  • Documented corrections to existing research

Never post

  • Names or identifying details of staff or students
  • Allegations about an individual
  • Personal case evidence, complaint files or correspondence
  • Health information, student IDs, phone numbers or addresses
  • Confidential or non-public institutional documents

If you need help with your own situation

Contact your university’s student ombudsperson or complaints office, your student union, or a qualified legal adviser. If you are in danger, contact the emergency services.
